Young Workers - Know the deal

The NSW Office of Industrial Relations produces resources to help young people entering the workforce understand their rights and responsibilities.

Check Your Pay is an online wages and entitlements calculator which provides young people with an estimate of their gross weekly pay including allowances, penalties, leave and other entitlements if they are employed as hairdressers, clerical, restaurant or retail workers.

Offered a job – know your legal rights - a pocket sized booklet which provides comprehensive information for young workers when starting out in a new job.

We also have wallet cards and stickers promoting our Young People at Work website which can be handed out to your students.
