People impersonating Office of Industrial Relations inspectors

The Office of Industrial Relations has recently received a report that a person who is not an inspector is contacting employers in the Kings Cross area. This person requests to see the employer's time and wages records.

If you are contacted by any person who claims to be an inspector from the Office of Industrial Relations, you are entitled by law to request that the person produce his or her certificate of authority as an inspector.

Please report any instance where a person contacts you claiming to be an inspector from the Office of Industrial Relations, and cannot produce a certificate of authority. Reports can be made to any of our inspectors on 131 628, for the cost of a local call. Calls will be treated confidentially.
