Rights & Responsibilities » Employees » Superannuation entitlements Superannuation entitlementsThe superannuation guarantee ensures that most Australian workers receive superannuation support from their employers. If you are an eligible employee for superannuation purposes, your employer should contribute to a complying superannuation fund or a retirement savings account for you or else pay the superannuation guarantee charge. These superannuation contributions must be at least 9% of your earnings base for 2002-03 and subsequent years (this is your minimum superannuation entitlement whether you work under an award or not). For further information about your superannuation entitlements, see Superannuation-for employees on the Tax Office website. top |
