Fair Work for Business
This workshop is for employers and employees in NSW and provides an introductory overview of the core fundamentals of the National Industrial Relations Fair Work system including:
- Timeline of changes to industrial relations legislation
- 10 National Employment Standards (NES)
- How Modern awards apply and interact with the NES
- Modern Award transitional provisions
- Payslip and Employment records
- Termination of employment process under the National system including Small Business Fair Dismissal code
- New provisions of General Protections, Adverse Action and unlawful termination
In addition participants will learn about some of the practical resources that are available to help navigate obligations under the Fair Work system.

Hair and Beauty Industry Award 2010
This workshop will cover the key provisions of the Hair and Beauty Industry modern award with particular emphasis on those provisions which have changed. Attention will also be given to the arrangements for transitioning from wage rates and penalties in the pre modern award to those in the modern award.

Health Professionals and Support Services Award 2010
This workshop will cover the key provisions of the Health Professionals and Support Services Award 2010. The workshop will cover various aspects of the Modern Award, including transitional arrangements for sole traders and partnerships, and your obligations as an employer. Clerical and administrative staff working in the medical industry are also covered by this Award.

Social, Community, Home Care & Disability Services Industry Award
This free workshop will explain the key provisions of the SCHADS award (formerly SACS award) and will explore how some of these provision impact on rostering employees. The workshops will also cover the transition from pre-modern award wage rates and penalties to the modern award.
