Metal Engineering and Associated Industries (State) Award

Further Awards

A different award may apply to employees who:

1. Work as:

  • as a mechanic fitter, smith, boilermaker or welder

2. Make:

  • kitchens, vanities, tresses or built-ins in a workshop
  • material and cloth
  • clothing
  • concrete pipes or other concrete products
  • furniture that is not fixed to a structure
  • bread
  • pies or pastries
  • belts, gloves, sports goods, sails, luggage, handbags, leather coats, jackets and leggings 

3. Are working:

  • with jewellery and watches
  • with or moulding plastic or fibreglass
  • with or making rubber
  • with or making cars
  • in a timber yard
  • on road construction
  • in a funeral parlour as undertakers, branch managers, shopman employed in making, trimming or polishing coffins, yardman, coachman, or driver

4. Are: 

  • drafting or assisting in engineering plans
