All NSW private sector employers and their employees are covered by the national Fair Work system.

There is some important information that you need to know to ensure you understand your workplace rights and entitlements. NSW IR have some in-language information on these pages that may assist you.

Language assistance


  1. Call the Translating and Interpreting Service (TIS) on 131 450 (for the cost of a local call (24 hours a day, 7 days a week).
  2. Ask for an interpreter in your language.
  3. Tell them you want to speak with someone at the Fair Work Infoline on 13 13 94.
