Awards
On 1 January 2010, private sector NSW employers and workers, previously covered by the NSW state award system (mainly sole traders and partnerships), moved into the national workplace relations system administered by the Fair Work Ombudsman.
This has resulted in all previous federal and state awards being streamlined into 122 modern awards. These awards now cover all Australian private-sector workplaces.
All private sector employers are required to use the appropriate modern award.

NSW state awards and contract determinations are also available from the NSW Industrial Relations Commission website’s alphabetical list.
