NSW Government Submission to the federal Award Review Taskforce – February 2006 (pdf - 51kb)

The Taskforce has now examined and developed future options for the federal award system in its final reports on Award Rationalisation and the Rationalisation of Wage and Classification Structures.

2005

Joint State and Territory Government's Submission to Senate Inquiry into the Workplace Relations Amendment (Work Choices) Bill, 9 November 2005 (pdf - 224kb)

The Joint Governments submitted that the Work Choices Bill will remove rights and protections for both employers and employees. The submission opposed the federal changes because they will: reduce pay, conditions and protection for workers and their families; increase cost and complexity for employers; and have a detrimental impact upon employment and family relationships for all Australians.
