Work Choices 2006-2007
Down and Out with Work Choices: The impact of Work Choices on the Work and Lives of Women in Low Paid Employment (pdf - 794Kb) tells twenty five NSW women's stories of how the previous federal government's Work Choices laws have affected their lives.
Down and Out with Work Choices was commissioned by the NSW Office of Industrial Relations and undertaken by the Women and Work Research Group at the University of Sydney. Similar research has been conducted by the governments of Victoria, South Australia, Queensland, Western Australia and the Australian Capital Territory. The case studies of 120 women have been combined to present a national assessment of the Work Choices changes on women workers.
